Mr. Angelo Tavernaro, a Master Sommelier and Certified Wine Educator was born and raised in Northern Italy and has dual citizenship. He is fluent in Italian, English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese. He's a charming, warm and intelligent host that will intruduce you to the great wines and foods of Europe.  Master Sommelier Angelo Tavernaro Angelo has worked in Italy, France, Germany and England, as well as, the Caribbean and the United States. He has had the opportunity to experience first hand the gastonomic delights of the world's best restaurants and the most luxuorious hotels, including the Savoy Hotel in London, Caesars Palace and the MGM Grand Hotels in Las Vegas, The Waldorf Astoria in New York, The Rhein Hotel Dreesen in Bonn, Germany and numerous others. Angelo has had the honor of serving Presidents Adenauer and Eisenhower in Europe, Presidents Kennedy and Johnson in Washington, D.C. and famous singers and celebrities, including Jerry Lewis, Julio Iglesias, Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion, Paul Anka, Sylvestor Stallone, the late George Burns and Anthony Quinn, and many others in Las Vegas. Professionalism, expertise and knowledge of wine and fine foods in combination with his linguistic skills makes Anegelo an outstanding guide for his students. He is an actively involved, passionate and enthusiastic wine educator and has been a judge in many wine competitions, including the Court of Master Sommeliers testing program. Additionally, Angelo has made 14 guest appearances on HGTV's Spencer Chrisitian's Wine Cellars series on wines. During his 20 years at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, he has created a wine list of some 700 wines for the Palace Court Restaurant, for which he proudly received the coveted Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and the Best Award of Excellence. http://winedr.net |
