Airfield Estates
At Airfield Estates, we have been growing wine grapes for 40 years. Our estate vineyard was planted around an old World War II airbase. We have drawn on
this unique history to create a state-of-the-art winery that resembles our historic
World War II air hangers. Airfield features a VIP tasting area inside a 45 foot
tall vintage water tower. We invite you to Prosser to taste our estate grown
wines. Visit their website at http://www.airfieldwines.com
ALEXANDRIA NICOLE
Antinori contributed a heritage of expertise and a passion for innovation; Chateau St. Michelle in turn offered unlimited inspiration and vineyards suited to the production of well-structured red wines.
Thus the partnership began and the result was one of the most original wines in the world: Col Solare, first produced in 1995.
Columbia Valley enjoys long sunny days and very hot summers, a climate favourable to very rich fruity grapes. The cold winters allow the vines to rest long enough to produce grapes with an intensely varietal character, thanks also to the predominantly loess soil.
Col Solare is characterful, well-structured wine, vinified in order to age stylishly for a long period of time. It is very fruity (black berry fruit) and mature tannins endow it with body and structure.
Full-bodied, aromatic, intense…Col Solare is an original interpretation of the Columbia Valley.
